History

TVS Filters began as Tennessee Valley Supply in the early 1970s when strip mining across the southeast was active, filling the need for engine air intake filters used in heavy earth-moving equipment. TVS serviced these accounts through pure manufacturing, resale, and even remanufacturing of filters from regional mining sites. The company grew the cartridge filter manufacturing business steadily over the next 50 years, carving out a particular specialty in the manufacturing of cartridge filters for gas turbine applications in power plants. Today TVS Filters is headquartered in Bessemer, Alabama and is a leading manufacturer and supplier of quality industrial air filters. In 2019, TVS was merged under the banner of Pleatco Filtration.

Environmental Filter began as a small filtration company based in Marked Tree, Arkansas that as the company grew, was eventually relocated to Jonesboro Arkansas. EFI was known as a leading aftermarket supplier of air filtration products with nearly 50 years of application and design experience. Serving many customers in the dust collector cartridge filter business. Specializing in a custom approach to custom built cartridges no matter the make, size, or specs. In 2021, EFI was merged under the banner of Pleatco Filtration.

On October 18, 2021: Acquisition Provides Additional Aftermarket Product Offerings in Water and Air Filtration. Pentair PLC (NYSE:PNR), a leading provider of water treatment and sustainable solutions, announced that it completed the previously announced transaction to acquire Pleatco for approximately $255 million in cash, subject to customary adjustments. Pleatco manufactures water filtration and clean air technologies for pool, spa and industrial air customers.
